WEDNESDAY'S GAME: SCOTTSDALE--Great comeback! Alou finally comes through! Let interleague play begin! TUESDAY'S NIGHT'S GAME: SCOTTSDALE--Bullpen blows lead. Hundley does not block the plate in extra innings. Cubs lose. Tuesday, June 04, 2002
CUP OF JOE: SCOTTSDALE--Joe informed us in the bottom of the second that the Cubs selected Brian Brownlie. Thanks a lot Jeff. CHIPMUNK AND CUP OF JOE: SCOTTSDALE--Chip and Joe just wasted time in the top of the second talking about that stupid Barbie doll in the radio booth again. Sigh. Shut up about it you two. CUBS DRAFT BROWNLIE: SCOTTSDALE--The Chicago Cubs selected Bobby Brownlie a right handed pitcher out of Rutgers University in the first round today. MACHADO TRADE POSSIBLE: SCOTTSDALE--According to today's Chicago Sun-Times the Cubs are looking to trade Robert Machado possibly as early as today. This is another bad idea from Cubs management. Machado is by far the Cubs best catcher both offensively and defensively. Hundley who is awful keeps his spot on the roster because of his fat contract. MONDAY NIGHT'S GAME: SCOTTSDALE--Cubs get four home runs, including two by McGriff, but the bullpen blows it in the seventh. Alou continues to do nothing. Hundley is still useless. |
