CLEMENT'S OPTION PICKED UP: The Cubs have picked up the option on Matt Clement for 2004. A good move for by the Cubs. Clement struggled early in 2003 but turned it around as the season went along. We need another good year out of him in 2004.



2003 AWARDS: The 2003 Awards are about to be awarded. Here are my picks. AL Rookie of the Year: Hideki Matsui, New York Yankees. NL Rookie of the Year: Scott Podsednik, Milwaukee Brewers. AL Cy Young: Roy Halladay, Toronto Blue Jays. NL Cy Young: Eric Gagne, Los Angeles Dodgers. AL MVP: Alex Rodriguez, Texas Rangers. NL MVP: Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants.
