WHITE SOX SERIES: Starting today we have three games at the Chicago White Sox. The good news is no Chip, Joe, and Dave for three whole games. The bad news is we have to put up with two announcers even worse: Hawk and DJ.

CHIPMUNK 2: Chip interviews Chris Chelios of the 2002 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings in the bottom of the seventh and never once asks him about the 2002 U.S. Olympic team. But does ask him, "How did it feel to win the cup?" Annoying.

CUP OF JOE: After Joey Hamilton got his second hit off of Jon Lieber WGN showed a replay and Joe informed us that "Joey went with the slidestep." Thanks a lot Johnny.

CHIPMUNK 1: Early in the game Chip talked about the game vs. St. Louis last Friday night. We played in the afternoon Chip, not at night.

THURSDAY'S GAME: Cubs blow lead in ninth. Reds come back to win in extra innings. 5-4. Lieber pitched very well. Alfonseca and Farnsworth finally had not so great games.

CHIPMUNK: Chip Caray did his best to be even more annoying than usual during the DeShields home run. Saying "I don't believe what I just saw." after DeShields hit the home run. Repeating Jack Buck's call of Kirk Gibson's home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. Chip has a long time friendship with the Buck family for obvious reasons but Chip has gone way overboard in memorializing Buck since his passing. And now to rip off the classic home run call as some sort of "tribute" to Buck is just lame Chip.

MONDAY'S GAME: Prior looked good. Cubs came back. Delino DeShield with a home run! Amazing.

BAYLOR ON TEXAS PICKOFF PLAY: Anybody catch Don Baylor's criticism of the Texas Rangers pick off attempt of Moises Alou in the ninth inning with two outs and the tying run at the plate? Baylor said that "he really took exception to it." Unreal. Alou almost takes too big of a lead off of second and the Rangers are not supposed to try and pick him off and win the game. If anything Baylor should really take exception to Alou taking too big of a lead because his run is meaningless.

SEATTLE TRIP: Well I am back after a trip to Seattle and other western states.
